| Building 8 is a complex of three related facilities, all dedicated to the starbase's defense. The complex is located on the bank of a river on the perimeter of the base, and it includes an airfield for hovercraft, hangars for fightercraft, phaser batteries and photon torpedo launchers, and shield generators.
